Biography


R. L. (Dick) Fehseke, Jr. joined his father’s practice in 1968 after interning with and receiving an offer from a Wall Street firm. Dick preferred to raise a family in Fort Madison, which he did, and now enjoys practicing with his son Richard and daughter Elaine. Dick received his undergraduate and graduate education from the University of Iowa. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1968 with High Distinction. He was Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif and Managing Editor of the Iowa Bar Review. He is a member of the Lee County and Iowa State Bar Associations; Iowa Association for Justice; and the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers (limited to 250 attorneys in the state of Iowa out of over 8000 practicing attorneys). Dick’s wife Lynn is a retired school teacher. Depending on the season, when Dick is not in the office he can usually be found fishing, duck hunting or otherwise enjoying the Mississippi River.
